Lineapelle LONDON

I love these shows, they are so informative yet so concise and most importantly so on trend. They always seem to get the trend forecasts so right which is the reason why shoe lovers and makers should make the effort to attend one. I went to the one Tuesday just gone and below are some of the pics I took at the expo. They happen twice a year and you have to be part of a company to attend. You not only have access to the seminar but to the leather halls too, which for me is the most exciting part since you are able to see what leathers are available to you that are in line with what you should be seeing all your instagram feeds in months to come- so what are you waiting for? get signed up for the next Lineapelle show! Kiren Modi X Megan Sophia 

collaboration update!

Last week on Tuesday Megan and I had a catch up on with our collaboration to fine tune the details of our project together. We made some good headway with a few designs especially with confirming the colour ways we liked and the possible embellishment combinations we liked. We both sat feeling super excited as we discussed it and can't wait to get started on the actual making. Megan has already made some progress on the beading combinations we both liked and are planning to meet again on Tuesday to start the actual making progress. SO EXCITING. For now here are some the designs and embellishments we have been working on.

Rosbalet by Sergey Kozyrev

The Rosbalet collection debuting in Spring Summer 2017 headed by Russian born Sergey Kozyrev is inspired by modern architecture and science fiction, the collection features a variation of slingbacks and ankleboots with sculptural heels,  reflecting Kozyrev admiration for motorcycles and cars. Personally as a lover of intense colours the colour hues Kozyrev has chosen for this collection is what first caught my eye, bubble gum pinks, metallics, white and red. The brand based in France also features a new rubberized matte leather along with the two part metal heels that create an all together collection thats both elegant and innovative for the Rosbalet girl. Molly Goddard X Topshop

Molly Goddard winning the title of best British Emerging Talent at the fashion awards only in December has landed the coveted commission to collaborate with Topshop to design a footwear collection. They have designed 8 shoe styles that will debut on the 23rd of Jan prices from £95 - £175.

Giuseppe X Jennifer

I have been a huge fan of Jennifer Lopez since her On the 6 album - I had the CD and vividly remember the cover, to this day its still relevant and classic and she is STILL as beautiful as ever! I dont know how she does it?!? This collaboration was simply inevitable, Jennifer or Jenny as I like to call her (LOL) is a huge Giuseppe fan and has been spotted in his footwear regularly through out the years. The collection will consist of two luxe handbags that will fit into the beige  pastel and grey colour way that they have chosen for the footwear. The collaboration is set to launch on January 23rd so keep a look out!

Rihanna Socks X Stance

Recently the rise of the sock and the open toe shoe combi or the sock with any shoe be it a dainty heel or trainer have become - with stealth might I add the new fashion trend hitting the streets and I say with stealth since it has been quietly bubbling away as a trend and is set to become a hot trend for the next few seasons especially with the launch of Rihanna X Stance socks. I love any accessory that helps add that extra little something to footwear and I think with Rihanna's fashion know how this won't be hard to get right - I absolutely ADORE the fall collection so I leave you with some of the socks and illustrations which I equally love as much!
