Square Toe Shoes

So the square toe front is definitely having its moment in fashion. I adore them and can't get enough of them and since they have graced the catwalks for last season its only fair that I share some of my favourite styles. So without further ado - the best (I think) square toe front shoes about.

Mercedes Castillo

New luxury shoe brand Mercedes Castillo debuted its first collection for spring 2017 and from the get go has done exceedingly well. Seen on Zoe Saldana recently at Victoria Beckhams garden party for her collaboration with Target. The brand will be rolling out in all major department stores in the US this spring/summer and the designs are just to die for. I have always been a fan of structured, and textured footwear which probably come from my days studying architecture. I particularly love the colour-ways used in this first collection, and shockingly i'm actually drawn more to the flat slider sandals and tie up sandals over the heels - although the heels are just as much to die for! - i've been a flat shoe kind of phase the last few weeks so that may be the reason. Anywho - go on have a scroll through some of my faves and definitely head on to the site!

P.s she doesn't only design footwear - she designs bags and jewellery too.

Odalia $425

Larissa $395
Leyana $450

Olenna $475

Katrina $475

5 Demi Heel's you need to get your hands on!

So I know i've been banging on about mid heels shoes recently - I just can't help myself i'm totally obsessed! I know what you are thinking this blog is called HIGH HEELS high hopes - but sometimes I think you have to break out of the mould and go for something more comfortable and more on trend. Mid heels and (some) Kitten heels (they come with a warning as some kitten heels can be absolute no no) ruled the runway for fashion month last season in preparation for spring and summer. They're the best option for transitional seasons (between spring and summer) especially mule styles since they are easy to wear, comfy and totally get you ready for the summer season in wedges. Ive put together a set of transitional demi heels to get your hands on for the coming months!

Mango - Christy £69.99

Valentino - Rock Stud £590

H&M - Suede Mule £49.99

Tibi - Zoe Mule £550

Zara - Pom Pom Sandal £39.99

FENTY x PUMA

So this happened!!! On Monday in Paris Riri released the next instalment of footwear of her collaboration with Puma, and in true Rihanna form it totally KICKED ASS!! Now my favourites had to be the boots worn beautifully by one of my fave models Leomie Anderson, against a library scene and locker backdrop. Rihanna was sure to be playful with her plaids and school uniform collection and she couldn't have pulled it off any better. This collaboration has been going for 3 seasons now and shows no signs of stopping, FENTY X PUMA is a match made in heaven. Go on have a scroll!

I have for you - Charlotte Mills another Cordwainers graduate with her luxury bridal line. So go on...have a scroll!

Kiren Modi X Megan Sophia

So last week Megan and I had a super productive couple of days working on our collaboration. We finalised the bead selection and the designs we are working on. WOOHOO! So this week was all about the production. The bead work, understandably takes a little while to do so Megan made an early start with sample ideas and I carried on with making sure the pattern fitted snug onto the foot. Without giving too much away the outcome is looking pretty spot on to what we both visualised. Megan has also introduced me to the most amazing trimming store in Soho which I can't get enough of so Im pretty sure i'll be heading there more often too. Now the pics don't give too much away as we want to keep that a little secret until we launch so for now above is one of the sample embellishments Megan has been working on along with some of the colour ways we have decided to work with! Enjoy! :)
Lineapelle LONDON

I love these shows, they are so informative yet so concise and most importantly so on trend. They always seem to get the trend forecasts so right which is the reason why shoe lovers and makers should make the effort to attend one. I went to the one Tuesday just gone and below are some of the pics I took at the expo. They happen twice a year and you have to be part of a company to attend. You not only have access to the seminar but to the leather halls too, which for me is the most exciting part since you are able to see what leathers are available to you that are in line with what you should be seeing all your instagram feeds in months to come- so what are you waiting for? get signed up for the next Lineapelle show! ( sorry for the bad pics - it was difficult trying to take pics in the dark!)
