Aminah Abdul Jillil

I have been eagerly awaiting the Jillil shoe collection ever since she became renowned for her Bow Pumps; practically every one in fashion wanted a pair and they were on every girls wish list. I first set eyes on them when Aimee Song paired the red Bow Pumps up with a beautiful Red Valentino dress that was just gorgeous! I can imagine the next collection will be just as show stopping as her debut - I cannot wait!

Shoe of the Week

Malone Souliers - 'MAYE'

You might remember Malone Souliers as one of the first brands that featured on my blog in January. The brand has grown from strength to strength with Solange Knowles wearing their shoes at any given moment - and why the hell not? they are just stunningly designed! This week 'Maye' from their Autumn Winter season 15/16 collection has made the shoe of the week title. They are just awesome! Well designed with just that perfect amount of quirk. The outward pleats make them the perfect stand out shoe for any outfit and say style in a subtle way. Mules as i have mentioned before have featured hugely in the last couple seasons in fashion week and these give you a great alternatively for the colder months.

SHOE OF THE WEEK
Aquazzura - WILD THING

These beauties are just exquisite. With such classic design its no wonder that they have been crowned shoe of the week. I love when shoes add that certain 'je ne sais quoi' to an outfit and these do just that. Available in some really great bold colours they completely command the floor. Initially I saw them in a beautiful bright red and slowly they started cropping up in bright pink and most recently in a cobalt blue, which looked absolutely amazing. Aquazzura knew exactly what they were doing when they came to design these - they are just divine! Go on have a scroll and see how bloggers, fashionistas and celebs have been pairing them up with outfits.

Liam Fahy

I've always been fascinated by the fact that some of the best desingers in the fashion industry, are men. I often think its because they have an eye for knowing what looks good on women, or should I say sexy on women? I only ever feel confident in my heels, which is why I wear them almost everywhere I go regardless of what I'm doing (though you’d definitely see me doing the food shopping in flats)

So as you can imagine when I came across Liam Fahy I was suitably impressed by his sexy range of heels. The classic and luxurious styles make his shoes super wearable yet adaptable ( I tend to always love classic style pumps - the best way to match a number of outfits and stay trendy). Fahy's shoes are limited edition designs and are hand made by some of the best italian (obviously) artisans - I would expect anything less.

I always wonder what influences and inspires designers, what’s their background? where do they get their individual style, how did they get into the footwear industry? was it planned or something they fell into? With Fahy I think its a mixture of both, his upbringing and his interest in art and physchology which he studied as a student in Africa. He decided to pursue his creativity by enrolling at DeMonfort University studying footwear where he was able to hone in on his shoe designing skills and shortly after, his eponymous luxury brand ‘Liam Fahy’ was established in 2011.

Below are some of my favourite picks from his spring summer collection ‘Summer Rain’ which is available online at the moment, along with his Noir range and most importantly the sale section because who doesn't like a sale?
