AMELIE PICHARD

I followed Amelie Pichard’s instagram intiallly for her interest in quirky old skool fashion imagery, featuring photographers like Guy Bourdin and major fashion icons of the past. To my delight as I delved further, her interests and hobbies it seems have shaped Amelie into a great (eccentric - which I love) footwear designer. Amelie's designs are not for the faint hearted or timid - they exude individuality and character. I just adore the textures and fabrics she chooses;  the Spring Summer '15 range is pure genius, incorporating the 70’s trend, fur and of course, Amelies touch of surrealism. Her shoes reflect her interest in fashion imagery, and the 1940’s to 1980’s fashion icons that influenced social culture of that time. As we all know, the french are renowned for their impeccable taste, it's safe to say that she has this in abundance - I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in the future. For now, I’ll leave you with some of my favourite pieces from her Spring Summer '15 range.
